Things to practice for Microsoft test 70-528 CSHARP

The 70-528 test measures an individual’s ability to develop and implement ASP.NET Web applications using .NET Framework 2.0. Before taking the 70-528 test, you should practice the following:

  1. Create a new Web application and add Web Forms pages to the application.
  2. Add Web server controls to a Web Form and configure their properties programmatically.
  3. Create event handlers for a page or control at design time.
  4. Manage state of an application by using client-based and server-based state management options.

A: Before taking the exam, you should have at least one year of experience in developing Windows-based applications by using the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0. You should also have a working knowledge of Visual Studio 2005.

Tools for configuring and maintaining Active Directory

Windows Server 2008 provides various tools for configuring and maintaining Active Directory in a domain network environment. Some of the important utilities are described below:

  • NTDSUTIL

    NTDSUTIL.EXE is a command-line tool that is used to manage Active Directory. This utility is used to perform the following tasks:

    • Performing database maintenance of Active Directory
    • Managing and controlling operations master roles
    • Removing metadata left behind by domain controllers

    Note: The NTDSUTIL utility is supposed to be used by experienced administrators.

After reviewing the uCertify PrepKit for the exam SCJP 5.0, he concluded that “Although it is an excellent kit to give you a proper feel of the actual exam; it is equipped with some easy and some tough (read tricky) questions as well just as the actual paper would. But, do not think that you need just this PrepKit to clear the paper! What you also need is a javac (Java compiler) to practice and coding. I strongly recommend understanding the involved concepts and coding by hand (not by IDE), then take these useful tests to gain confidence as the actual exam looks almost the same.”
